TRURO

I got to work on Sunday, it was supposed to be an easy 3 hour shift.
The idiot I was working with burned 6 pans of bread AND 6 pans of cookies.
We were off to a rough start already.
I then sent him home out of sheer annoyance and worked a supper rush by myself.
Mark is awesome.
SEVEN staff members were hanging out, watching me be swamped by customer after customer.
WAAY too much work to get done, and not one of them helping.
Mark started helping and then told them to get off their ass and help too.
Which was brilliant, within 15 minutes they had everything done.
Thank you Higgins.
The staff party was alright.
Turkey dinner, lots of apple pie.
I ended up sitting with Todi for most of the night.
He drank everybody's leftover beer and got ridiculously drunk.
Around 10 we took off and went to Alex's.
They had the ends of a potluck still going on.
We got stoned and watched Street Fighter.
What an awful movie, but when you watch movies with Alex, Craig, and Malcolm the commentary is the best part.
I laughed from start to finish.
I worked forever the next day.
I headed to Julia's for scrabble.
When I got there, DMC was leaving and they were all playing Trivial Pursuit.
Based on the fact that I took over DMC's almost won game, I totally won!
Thank you Sphinx.
TRURO IS THE BEST ALL AGES SCENE.
Man.
Tuesday is my favorite day of the past week.
I had to pull some sweet lying and avoid my house most of the day.
I hung out with Julia and Melissa most of the day, eating milk chocolate.
Ala, Alex, DMC, Stephen and myself all went to Truro for a crrrrrrrazy show.
The show was sold out within 15 minutes.
What the fuck is that? How does that even happen?
Stephen had to be all "I'm fromthe Herald, were with the bands" to get us in.
Which is RIDICULOUS.
The kids were insane, soooo much intensity was going on in that room.
It smelt like teenager, it felt like teenager, it was teenager trouble.
They kind of scared me a little bit, but I liked it.
You could feed off these kids' energy.
The 'oi, oi, oi' pile up was awesome, the constant floor punching and moshing.
I don't think those kids felt pain, or maybe it was just all the punk rock created some sort of force field.
I feel like an idiot describing this show, but damn, words fail me.
All the bands were awesome, kids moshed for Gilbert Switzer.
The Hold set was amazing, Darcy sure knows how to work a crowd.
TMWSD and Be Bad closed up the night and slapped everybody in the face while doing so.
I don't know, you had to be there.
I had a smile on my face 97% of the time.
The 3% that I didn't is my own stupid fault.
After tons of debating, the only band to follow us to BigStop was the Hold.
But, BEHOLD, 24hour BigStop doesn't apply in the winter.
We ended up just me, Alex, Ala and Stephen at Freeman's.
Spending way too much money on small food portions.
I couldn't stop thinking about the whole thing.
I want to go to shows in Truro all the time.
Alright, enough about Truro.
Last night was Bearly's.
I think I used up all my adjectives while describing Truro.
Next time, I'll be all over Wednesday.
