twin peaks

Wednesday morning I woke up with a headcold.
I've been sick since the ECMA's with no sign of it letting up.
I keep losing my damn voice too.
Oh well, I don't let being sick slow me down though.
I headed out to Agricola to pick up the finer things in life; booze and a nanaimo bar.
I didn't even really drink any of it, I wasn't really in the mood.
I went to the open mic at the One World with Craig and Newwave.
Frank played a set followed by Sloan Backwards which was Craig and Newwave.
The old lady and her husband that went on last were amazing.
She played the banjo-lale and sang the most random songs.
Her and hubby looked so happy together, like they were still crushing with each other.
They must of been at 65 years old, when I'm old I want to do crazy shit like that lady.
Bearly's was awesome.
There wasn't a huge crowd, but quality of people over quantity.
Some of the preformances were caught on video.
Derrick did a very dark, intriguing, version of The End by the Doors.

Nathan did I Ran, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC0juxroQOA
annnd Stephen did some crazy nonensense http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvaITFl5e-8
DMC did 99 Red Balloons but in German and with 99 red balloons floating around Bearly's.
Retardedness.
Mitch, Newwave, DMC, Laura and I walked home afterwards.
We went swinging in the Commons.
I'd have to say, swinging and visiting ducks are my two favorite things.
I wish I could swing while visiting ducks, my pleasure sensors might overload.
Thursday morning started with some Ardmore.
I got a burger and a poutine and then decided maybe I should eat better.
I don't think I ever 'feel' good, I think I've just come to deal with feeling like crap.
Not emotionaly or anything just health wise.
I'm always so sluggish, tired, malnurished, lately my cuts and bruises last for atleast a month.
Summers coming, so maybe I can get into a better diet and walk a lot more.
ANYWAYS.
After lunch we watched another episode of Twin Peaks and I walked to work.
I had a list of things to do which consisted of the following.
Everything day shift does times 2, everything my shift does times 2 and everything backshift does times 2.
YEAH.
Busy day, but the more work you have the faster times goes by.
Natalie came to visit shortly followed by Derrick.
Derrick gave me a drive to Alex's which rocked.
Lots of sitting around, lots of talking, lots of hanging out.
This morning consisted of me complaining about a headache and a sore thoart.
BUT, Riley also made pie, which brightens everyone's day.
Here I go, off to work.

Your comment that "I'm always so sluggish, tired, malnurished, lately my cuts and bruises last for at least a month" reminded me of some of the symptoms I was noticing before I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Poor diet, stress, excessive alcohol consumption, irreguluar (or no) exercise will all contribute. It's said to be reversible. I'm working on it. You might want to have your blood sugar level checked. North American "life style choices" over the past couple of decades have caused the rate of diabetes to soar. It's a huge problem all over, and particularly in aboriginal communities right now. Other symptoms include needing to pee a lot, being frequently thirsty, and carrying extra weight.

Hope you don't mind the unsolicited (and totally non-medically qualified) observation . . .

PS: I know you hate doctors and check-ups. So do I. My motto is "feel the fear and do it anyway" . . .
