twin peaks

Wednesday morning I woke up with a headcold.
I've been sick since the ECMA's with no sign of it letting up.
I keep losing my damn voice too.
Oh well, I don't let being sick slow me down though.
I headed out to Agricola to pick up the finer things in life; booze and a nanaimo bar.
I didn't even really drink any of it, I wasn't really in the mood.
I went to the open mic at the One World with Craig and Newwave.
Frank played a set followed by Sloan Backwards which was Craig and Newwave.
The old lady and her husband that went on last were amazing.
She played the banjo-lale and sang the most random songs.
Her and hubby looked so happy together, like they were still crushing with each other.
They must of been at 65 years old, when I'm old I want to do crazy shit like that lady.
Bearly's was awesome.
There wasn't a huge crowd, but quality of people over quantity.
Some of the preformances were caught on video.
Derrick did a very dark, intriguing, version of The End by the Doors.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VgxofY1WqY
Nathan did I Ran, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC0juxroQOA
annnd Stephen did some crazy nonensense http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvaITFl5e-8
DMC did 99 Red Balloons but in German and with 99 red balloons floating around Bearly's.
Retardedness.
Mitch, Newwave, DMC, Laura and I walked home afterwards.
We went swinging in the Commons.
I'd have to say, swinging and visiting ducks are my two favorite things.
I wish I could swing while visiting ducks, my pleasure sensors might overload.
Thursday morning started with some Ardmore.
I got a burger and a poutine and then decided maybe I should eat better.
I don't think I ever 'feel' good, I think I've just come to deal with feeling like crap.
Not emotionaly or anything just health wise.
I'm always so sluggish, tired, malnurished, lately my cuts and bruises last for atleast a month.
Summers coming, so maybe I can get into a better diet and walk a lot more.
ANYWAYS.
After lunch we watched another episode of Twin Peaks and I walked to work.
I had a list of things to do which consisted of the following.
Everything day shift does times 2, everything my shift does times 2 and everything backshift does times 2.
YEAH.
Busy day, but the more work you have the faster times goes by.
Natalie came to visit shortly followed by Derrick.
Derrick gave me a drive to Alex's which rocked.
Lots of sitting around, lots of talking, lots of hanging out.
This morning consisted of me complaining about a headache and a sore thoart.
BUT, Riley also made pie, which brightens everyone's day.
Here I go, off to work.

WHAT

I slept most of the car ride up, which was awesome.
I got dropped off at my friend Gumby's and immediately started the boozing.
He's roommates are dead crazy, but I'll get into it later.
We walked down to the Paramount for the Courage of Being show.
I had one too many doubles, theres something about being in different city.
Its like, it doesn't matter so I can do whatever the fuck I want.
I saw a good friend of mine, Isabelle, while standing outside the bar.
I also so boxing day birthday dude, Harper.
He grew a beard.
You'd think people's facial hair wouldn't be important enough to make into an entry.
HAHA.
Gumby, Nate, and myself went to an after-party.
Some dude was playing Neutral Milk Hotel and the Pixies on his acoustic guitar.
It finished the night nicely.
Saturday morning at 10 AM, Gumby's crazy roommates were discussing Jesus' homosexuality.
There's no way I can describe the type of crazy, because even I didn't get it when Gumby was trying to explain.
But I can fully understand and support his decision for moving out in a month.
My mother saved me from the insanity and we went to the grocery store.
Then Wal-Mart, then different department stores.
Not my idea of a good time when hung-over, she bought me canvas and sewing supplies though.
I made the family some bruchetta when we got home.
All I did all night was watch Hilary Duff and Garfield.
Everybody was asleep by 9, weird.
The 7 year old devil woke me up waaaaaaaaaaay to early in the morning for crafts.
I made us some kind of exotic looking omelette and we watched Howl's Moving Castle.
My dad made us homemade fish & chips, afterwards he drove me to Bouctouche.
Janice and I hung out all afternoon, for some reason cooked like 2 pounds of bacon and ate it all.
My dad make me homemade chinese food for supper, Anika came too.
He hooked me up solid with some preserve and other goodies to bring home with me.
Mitch's grand-parents is the picture perfect home, crystal, not a spec of dust, weird.
My mother's house on the other hand, is filled with toys, books, knick-knacks, dust, dirt, blankets, stuffed animals, decoration from every holiday year round, and just general clutter.
Thats why I love it so, it might explain why my room is always a disaster too.
The drive back was awesome, I slept the entire time and woke up in Halifax.
Headed over to Alex for a bit and came home to sleep in my own bed.
Monday morning I had nachos with Justin and Riley at the Shoe Shop.
Laura came over before practice to try and figure out my sewing machine.
Practice went well, no real need to work on any songs, we have our old ones down pretty pat.
We didn't get make the cut for Rock4$$s, our matching outfits proved useless.
Next week were garanteed a spot for 800$ so that makes me all kinds of happy.
Although we play more 200$ nights than big money nights.
Bands that never play and only show up on big money nights drive me nuts.
The night went well though, lots of good bands, lots of laughs.
Matt was there, he probably got one too many hugs from me.
Tuesday morning, Nathan, Julia, Krista, Blanchard and I went to Mexico Lindo's.
All that cheese and onion make me a happy girl.
After we went to Julia's to watch Twin Peaks, well thee first 2 episodes.
THEN AN EXPLOSIVE EPISODE OF 24.
I napped.
I went to Alex's.
We made a myspace.
We smoked pot.
I came home.
I made the previous blog post.

3.28.2006

I realize I'm an idiot when I'm stoned.
I realize I don't care that I'm an idiot when I'm not stoned.

In conclusion, I'm done with pot.

3.24.2006

pie

New Wave and I headed to the One World for the best meal ever.
It was prepared by Stacey, wonderful green rice with sun flower seeds and baked apple madness.
I couldn't shut up about how good it was.
Meghan, Godwin, Stephen, Katie, Eben, Celery were at the One World.
It was a hoop-la at 2 in the afternoon.
Stephen lent me some of his shoe-goo and my boot is right back to normal.
Nathan and I went to visit Jenna at her place.
We made plans for some drinking later on that night.
Nathan went to jam wiht Godwin and had some girl talk with Siobhan, Meghan, Laura and Celery.
I spent most of the day at the One World at different intervals.
Jenna is heading back to PEI so we decided to have a two person drunk going away party.
We headed over to Alex's.
I love going over there, its always so funny.
Lots of good people, lots of good conversation.
Around 2 in the morning we decided to go spray paint something.
I've never vandalized anything and I just couldn't go through life without it.
So we went to the skate park and played in the playgroud for a bit.
Jenna and I spray painted 'CRAZYWAVE' across the bowl.
Then a slow moving car kind ofstarted coming our way, we ditched the spray paint and half sprinted home.
EXCITIN'.
Wednesday started off with escorting Leah to her first waxing.
I was hoping for screams but instead I got a Home&Garden article.
I had fun with Leah as usual, swapping stories and gossip we haven't been able to tell each other.
Frank and Craig came over so it cut the boy talk but it was fun anyways.
Drinking all day long is like an olympic event.
You must prepare, train, eat well before hand, make sure not to over-do it.
Complicated process.
I'm getting sort of sick of it.
There used to be a time when I wanted to quit drinkin' and smokin', I need a force to motivate me in that direction.
It sort of sad that I would only consider doing this for another person and not myself.
Anyways, we fought some too, were both pretty opinonate girls.
I never raise my voice to friends as a general rule, but man, she was getting me going.
I love Leah.
Hissy Fit was awesome, theres got to be something wrong with all your friends being in drag and it being.. HOT.
Boys in dresses is god damn hot.
The picture of the night are going to be awesome, it won't be something I'll forget.
I said some shitty shit to whats his face, but I always seem to.
A group of kids went to Leah's afterwards and after a few hours Nathan and I headed home.
Julia came over in the morning and we went with her downtown.
Computer store, Aliant Building, Dio Mio's and finally the Ardmore.
I pretended to be allergic to mayo, they slapped it on my first burger and I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
It touched my lips.
..
ugh.
Julia and I watched To Kill A Mocking Bird and Annie Hall.
I loved both of them, Annie Hall was probably my favorite out of the two though.
When I got home, Peek had the brilliant idea of bad movies and pie.
Oh sweet pie, even at 12 oclock at night you have a pull over me.
So we met up at Sobeys, bought some pie, and I bought ingredients for nachos.
We talked a lot before we put on the movie and ate our pie.
We watched 'Pennies from Heaven' but I ended up passing out.
In the morning more pie was served and here I am.
I'm going to pack now, New Brunswick is a waiting.
I wish Alex was still coming.

3.21.2006

swingin'

Oh token drunk post, how small and precise you are.
Whatcha gonna do? I mean, really.
HI MOM! *waves*
Work on Saturday was long and busy.
If you don't stop making me look crazy, I'm never telling you things again.
Its not gossipy when you're 1. kidding, 2. telling a friend things in confidence.
I left work an hour early.
I went to Alex's house and we all watched Top Dog and Screwed.
Oh what a grand old time that was.
Sunday was spent mostly inside this house.
I was supposed to go eat at the One World but Alex never woke up.
Malcolm and Alex came over for a bit before supper.
Derrick, Emilie and I went to Ardmore for supper.
I am the worst person at making menu decisions.
Unless I'm ordering breakfast, then I just know.
But any other time, I could sit there for hours looking over this thing.
I don't really understand people who get the same thing over and over.
I just can't get behind that.
I like Sunday night supper, maybe it can become a regular thing.
Its the perfect send off to work really.
When I got to Subway the place was in shambles.
3 hours later, I left it spotless and in working order.
SERIOUSLY PEOPLE FROM WORK HAVE TO GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER.
Alex's house after work as usual.
Sour candy, and sour suckers.
Monday was also mostly spent in here.
Krista, Ed and I went to One World for some chillin'.
Mike D, and Krista drank with me, Julia and Marty came over too.
Reflections was a riot, oh free sausage how you make me happy.
Derrick, Meghan and Toby's band was awesome.
Meghan is a hilarious vocalist, what an awesome song.
Lindsay and Troy's duo was fabulous too.
No practice and Lindsay doesn't even play the keyboard!
I think we have a Bikini Kill cover band in the works.
I'm really excited about this.
At the end of the night the money wasn't won BUT the walk home was wonderful.
Lindsay, Beardo, Mitch, New Wave and me all sat in the middle of the bowl for a good 20 minutes.
THEN, I decided I wanted to swing.
Lindsay was so down for both this idea, I love the girl.
The swinging was awesome, we sang some of the classic Spice Girl and Aqua while swinging.
It was a fun thing to be doing drunkenly at 3 in the morning.
New Wave and I escorted Lindsay to her door and headed to Sobeys.
I bought things for nachos but couldn't bring myself to make them last night.
TODAY I WILL HAVE NACHOS.
Leah and I have a Wednesday date.

3.20.2006

token drunk post

Maybe Josh is right.
Maybe I am perverted.
Use me.
I need sex.
Doesn't everybody?

3.18.2006

NBNE!

After that obnoxious emo post, I went to dinner with Julia.
Actually, I hung around the Vienna drunk screaming about Dirty Sanchezes.
But whos splitting hairs.
Mike D, Adrian and Mitch hung out with me before we all booked it to Reflections.
Scribbler's set was fun as usual, I love singing along.
Bearly's was a pile of crazy.
Muttonchops, Eben busted out muttonchops.
I couldn't keep my eyes off this facial hair wonder.
Good going sir.
Mike D, Jen, Merril, Adrian, NewWave, Mitch and I went to breakfast.
We ended up seeing some dude body slam a girl by her hair.
The Dome bouncers were not a fan of that AT ALL.
NewWave snored so loud I had to go sleep on agent orange in the kitchen.
I woke up at 9 in the morning in daze.
When I regained consciousness (is that even a word?) in my bed, it was late afternoon.
I went into the kitchen to find the brand new Coast, flipping the pages, and BAM.
Lindsay Allain in black and white giving the finger.
I was quite shocked, but the picture definitely grew on me.
Alex, Craig and I headed to Gus' for O,B!M!E! but they had to cancel.
Dobbin scratched her cornea at practice earlier in the day.
So instead we headed down to North End Pub.
I'd never heard the Stolen Minks, I really enjoyed it.
I met Hilary too which was a fun surprise.
On the way back home I noticed that Gus' was pretty bumping.
The Grass played until pass 2 and people were shaking their love thangs.
I was escorted home by a large group of males.
The feeling of security is awesome, if I go anywheres alone I usually end up clutching my keys.
At 5 in the morning I went out for a smoke.
I heard commotion and the sounds of a scuffle.
Apperently some guy put his hands on a girl and some boys were not happy with him.
They were approaching him and he was backing away.
When bam out of nowheres a carl hit in to him.
He flew 20 feet in the air and the sound of impact wasn't pretty.
All you could hear was moaning and then it stopped, girls were screaming for people to do CPR.
I went back into the house and by the time the ambulance got there the dude hadn't been breathin' for a while.
I wonder if hes alright, or if he died, or what happened.
Right.
Enough with that, I think I seem midly un-affected by that.
Its not fun to see bad things happen to people, but I've seen worst things happen to people I actually care about.
Maybe ice runs through my veins.
My dad woke me up at 10 30 yelling for my T4.
Therefor its completely his fault that I started drinking ridiculously early.
I called Adrian we went to Supestore to get food and booze.
THEN we went to Stapples and Kinko's.
On the way to Kinko's I found the Dal Gazette, they had a small feature on Le Coque et les Phoques.
By this time I was pretty drunk and decided to get both pictures (the Coast and the Gazette) blown up to tape on a bristle board.
Monsieu Daniel Gallant from CBC security, I swear if my T4 doesn't make it to my dad I'll kill you.
Band practice went well, we picked out a plan of attack, and a set list and Alfred surprised us with more props.
Bubble stuff, more puppets, stuffed animals and I ofcoruse had my blown up pictures.
I don't think I could ever be conceded because I'm not that confident.
But God damn it its fun to pretend.
The One World show was amazing.
I sort of realized towards the end that I was the only drunk idiot there, I might of gaver a little too hard on the dancing.
I mean for a well-lit, all-ages show at a cafe.
But its Divorce, those cats make me want to lose my fucking mind and go nuts.
The Switzer set was amazing, Derrick kept checking the time.
When the show ended I headed over to Gus'.
I threw up right before our set started.
Although I had been drinkin' I think it was nerves not the booze.
The set went awesome.
I like that it might not of been perfect but in my mind it went well.
The crowd was huge and really into it.
The place was packed by 11.
Our first real show played infront of a sold-out bar.
Bubble stuff and hand puppets were being passed around, people were yelling the words.
I loved it.
Ash F and Amy V did an awesome job recording the thing to.
The rest of the night I hopped around parties and ate food.
The next morning I went out to breakfast with Toby, Meghan and Derrick.
Then we had a listenning party where I got to finally see how the recordings turned out.
I love it and I love those two cats for doing such an awesome job.
YEAH.
Basically, I rule.

3.15.2006

do dodo dododo dodod

I like that girl from work Abby.
She's funny, but she told me a really sad story.
Could you imagine putting all your efforts into one thing for 16 years and never being able to do it again?
I guess she used to be pretty great at gymnastics but she broke her back and arm in a serious fall.
She can never do gymnastics again, this happened 6 months ago.
Thats brutal.
Rock4$$s was alright.
I hung with Alex pretty much the entire time.
Him and KLC came up with a pretty ridiculous plan for Friday.
Dressing up in drag.
The walk home was ridiculous and the plans for New Brunswick were laid out.
We hit up Needs and smoked infront like bums.
Ridiculous.
Adrian came back from Montreal on Tuesday.
I had class online.
What a brilliant idea, I sat here in my underwear wrapped in a blanket smoking cigarettes.
Now thats how class should be every day.
Meghan also asked me to do merch at the Switzer show.
I am not a good merch girl, especially if my favorite band is playing.
I begged Amy to take my spot so I could dance my heart out.
A la fin du temp I ended selling some of their goods though.
A sense of purpose was restored.
We went to Robie Food for milk shakes and deep fried vegetables.
The conversation was pretty broad and fun.
I like hanging with those homies.
ALTHOUGH, the worst fucking fuck kept coming up as a subject.
I wanted to crawl underneath tables, I feel like a jerk.
I don't even want to preform that song anymore.
New Wave was over when I came home.
We ended up spending the entire night in my room talking about nonesense waiting for 24 to download.
Around 5 in the morning it was finally done.
By 6 my mouth was in a permanent open state, its hard to go to bed after that kind of drama.
I was supposed to go to lunch with Derrick and Emilie but I couldn't do it.
I vaguely remember getting up and leaving a long winded message on Derrick's phone.
I hope he got it before lunch.
I also couldn't find Emilie.
Maybe a bit more planning would be in order for the next time.
I'm drinking gin tonight.
Today has been a day of sad news.
Ben is leaving us for the west.
Ed is leaving us for Esso across the bridge.
Scribbler (meaning New Wave too) and Ed can't come to my show on Friday.
Its kind of weird what kind of things will make me cry.
When Alex told me they couldn't come I just started bawling.
See, this is why MSN is a good thing.
You can cry at your own discretion.
Gin makes me weird.
Either extremely violent or overly emotional.
What a day.
Mike D said 'welcome to a band' when I told him I was crying.
Its not quite the same.
Most bands have some sort of mass appeal or atleast they strive for it.
Our band is mostly an inside joke between a lot of friends.
Without my friends in the audience I'm just going to feel like a fool.
Or maybe not.
Or maybe I shouldn't post in my blog when I'm trashed.
FUCK!

3.13.2006

oh boys

The more people read this, the less I can say.
Does it really matter?
My life is open book, my feelings are easily read-able and all over my face.
Saturday at work things went pretty smootly.
I managed to get all of morning and night shifts work done, and leave 3 hours early.
Whoever says Subway is a hard job is a fucking moron.
I wish I could get payed more, for you know, actually putting in effort.
I went to Kinko's to visit Scott kid.
We got on the 80 and he looked at my gross fungus finger.
I wonder how many of my friends have noticed and never said anything.
Its pretty fucking un-appealing.
You can only really notice how fucked up it is when you compare it with the other one.
Eech.
Krista, Ed, Julia, Justin, New Wave and Rob all came down to the Gus' show.
I hung out with Brian, Neil and Chris a lot, fun kids.
The Scribbler set turned into a massive noise jam, it rocked my boat hard.
Scott and his friend Alice showed up towards the end of the show.
I dragged them to a party on the corner of Chebucto and Chebucto.
NEXUS OF THE FUCKING UNIVERSE.
Art kids live there, the house is pretty amazing, lots of interesting things where ever you look.
Alice and I took a picture while rocking the side ponytail coined by Tiffany.
I'm pretty pumped to see that.
They took off and I went on a mission to find Alex's.
He was being held hostage by an old British couple at his place.
We managed to re-capture our dear Alex and bring him to the party.
About 5 in the morning, we had a trip to Needs and I headed home.
Krista and Ed were still awake and they came to hang out in my room.
At some point we were all just sleeping in my bed.
A big cuddle jam as I like to call that shit.
Le Coque et les Phoques jammed for a few hours on Sunday.
I'm pretty proud that I managed to write a song about Dirty Sanchez(S!).
How the fuck do you pluralize something with a z?!
Damn you French high school, you've taught me NOTHING.
We went to the Vienna for some much needed food intake.
Work blew but thats nothing shocking.
Amy came to visit however and we smoked a lot of cigarettes.
She also bought me some McDonalds, and we had an interesting encounter with some English dude.
Luke walked me home, I spend the rest of night reading.
BAM.
Monday in the house.
Were not playing tonight I was forced into accepting a 5 - 11 shift.
I can probably escape the crutches of Subway early.
Maybe.
Rock4$$s tonight.

3.11.2006

vive le coque et les phoques

Wednesday was a bit drastic drama blah blah night.
I can't believe he found out.
I am a huge jerk, the jerk of all jerks is me.
Nobody should of told him that, and I probably shouldn't of wrote the song.
JERK.
I also fought with whats his face.
I'm not the worst human being ever, thank you.
A jerk, definitely, but I'm not all shit.
Bearly's was insanity, there were tons of people there.
Mimi announced the one year anniversary of us visiting his establishment.
He bought Mike D a double gin and juice, how thoughtful.
Theres some video of all this kareoke madness, but you can find it yourself if it means that much.
I have a feeling youtube is going to ruin my life by the end of the year.
I made nice with that girl and she just took it to new levels.
Toleration and best friends are two different things.
I change jerk to asshole, I'm an asshole.
I petted some fur that night, take that sentence how you will.
Lots of cool cats I didn't expect to come out, did.
Breakfast was hilarious.
I guess according to Em I got into a dispute with a table across the way.
I don't remember this but I'll definitely take her word on it.
Freedom day started with me re-capping the night in my mind and slapping myself on the forehead.
Jenna and I went to Vienna for some breakfast fuel.
I also did a small bit of responsible groceries.
Getting the stapples for a good meal.
Julia called and asked us to venture downtown.
We got food at the Italian Gourmet, smoothies at Dio Mios, and booze by the pirate.
We all went to the Books on Tape show, I really dug his stuff but I wasn't in the mood.
I kept thinking about Wednesday so when Laura asked me to go for pie and bad movies I had to say yes.
We ended up buying our own pies and a tub of soy ice cream.
Valley Girl is a ridiculous movie that should be viewed by all.
"LIKE TOTALLY GNARLY SEX" - some Valley trash.
New Wave showed and walked me home.
Thursday morning I woke up late and in a panic, I had to get down to Steve-o-Reno's for the Gazette interview thing.
I think it went well, managed to get Crazywave in there and a lot of ridiculous answers.
We took our photo in front of a church, we acted frightened by the cross.
Laura and I took the ferry over to Dartmouth.
We petted cats and yarn before we made our way to the curling club.
Curling looked like fun, but we were sitting behind glass and we couldn't comment on the events unfolding.
The trip to Value Village afterwards turned out awesome.
Laura got a stereo and I bought a sewing machine.
I'm going to be making the ridiculous skirts for the rest of my life.
Bad Motels show was fun.
I got to really hang out with Laura for once.
Wait not Peek, other Laura, whos last name I've never caught.
I'll definitely have to ask her next time I see her.
We spent a good half an hour hanging out outside the bar before heading to the party.
I spent all my time on the front step.
Standing outside at parties is the best, you can't not talk to the people out there.
It just happens, there will be talking.
Bridgette the girl who interviewed us for the Gazette was there too.
I got to tell her about Radiator since I had forgot earlier in the day.
Savannah was plastered, but pretty hilarious.
Leg slapping and hollering.
Alex walked me home and we got Tony's pizza.
Which is only good when drunk.

3.08.2006

back to square one

Anika is sick again.
She got a sinus infection and they think she might have urinary track infection.
Those don't seem like major things, but her immune system is gone from all the medication she had to take for the HSP.
When kids with HSP get sick it can bring back their rash and their previous HSP symtoms.
My mom said it might not happen though since she's also taking steroids to stay strong.
That little girl is a fighter though, she'll be fine, I can feel it.
Being in Halifax leaves me out of the loop.
My cousin Amy had a baby a month ago but the baby is also in the hospital.
I just realized I forgot to ask my mom if it was a boy or a girl.
My mind is going a mile a minute in every direction.
The kids in my family are not healthy babies.
The one person I want a hug from isn't talking to me at the moment.

3.07.2006

I want to be a gay cowboy.
You ever feel like you're just going through the motions?
You ever feel like everything you say is cliche as balls?
Maybe being a gay cowboy is a tough goal to aim for, I do however want to be somebody.

short

I had a fancy dinner with Peek and Hiltz at the One World.
We had party dresses and he had a suit.
Peek and I headed to the Pavilion for a show.
I danced.
We parted ways and I had people over for a few drinks.
Went to Gus' Pub for the last KNA.
Drama followed.
I got punched in the face by the moshpit and went home.
The debutante's ball got sicked out.
I still had fun, a few people came, but mostly everyone was sick.
I hadn't been that drunk in a while, it was a rough walk home.
Went to lunch with Alfred, Ed and his mother showed up and joined us.
Ed was wearing a purple bathrobe.
I walked around the North End with Ed and Alex most of Sunday.
We visited a few friends, sat down at the One World for a bit.
Stephen offered us burnt snacks, which Alex said reminds him of his grandmother.
Old people and their burning.
Work blew as usual, 3 hours shifts are bullshit.
I ain't doing it anymore, screw that.
I had a super long emotionaly charged conversation after work.
What a fuck up that was, well not really, but it just got my mind working.
I went to lunch with Julia on Monday.
She joined me for a walk to the liquor store.
One of my favorite people to just hang out with, I never feel like theres bullshit.
Its always just straight out truthing.
Alex stopped by after he was done work, we went to Vogue Optical.
I tried doing him a favor all day but Club NRG gave me the fucking run-around.
I hate getting the run around, I can jerk myself off thanks.
Band practice went ridiculously well.
The 2 new songs are HOT.
Fun with Food and Thunder Clap have some of the catchiest choruses to date.
Well nothing beats The Worst Fucking Fuck.
I'm pretty excited about NXNE, 2 more songs and I think we'll have a whole set!
Rock4$$s was an all around excellent night.
Mike D, Ed, and Adrian ended up winning the 200$.
I wiped the puke off Adrian's beard, hot as he layed passed out in the band room.
Mike D bought me breakfast and I made nice.
I wanted to hide behind my sunglasses for the most part but Meghan broke them.
I'm not digging having to tell their owners that they're broken.
Meh, what can you do.
That about wraps that up.

3.06.2006

If I'm awesome, great, and pretty; what else am I missing?
Obviously I'm missing something, or I wouldn't be this lonely.
Lonely yet constantly surrounded by people.
The hidden feelings of a social butterfly/loud-mouth.

3.03.2006

what the fuck

When you're diplomatically friends with a lot of musicians you have to listen to a lot of bullshit.
Who cares about any of it?
Listenning to people bitch about bands they've never even heard is the most obnoxious things ever.
It pretty much makes me dislike a band that I have previously enjoyed.
How can you be so fucking negative when everybody's just trying to play music.
Trying to do the kind of thing they enjoy.
You might not enjoy it, but why try to destroy it with hateful words?
It doesn't make you cool, it makes you a cunt.
I never want to hang out in another band room ever again.
End rant.

party

Theres going to a 'debutante's ball' at Alex's house tomorrow.
A select few of you get out your best clothes and come party.
You have to be dressed up.
HAVE TO.
Do you nails, do your hair and get drunk.
Its like, magic.

One person tells you one thing, the other person tells you another.
Communication people, communication.

My good friend Mike D has finally run out of money.
I thought what the hey, I'll buy some gin and we'll split it.
Good god, what a bad idea.
I think I killed more brain cells on that night then in this entire year.
My friend Anjulee whom I hadnt seen in a year came out to Bearly's.
It was basically one of the best nights ever.
Anjuleee is one of my favorite people, she makes me laugh a lot.
The walk home was challenging, I fell a few times.
I woke up with an awful headache, actually awful doesn't cover it, spirit crushing headache.
Shortly followed by a 4 hour drive to PEI.
First though I had to stop at the bank, it would seem during
Jessee, JCS, Laura, Joel and Stephen were all along for the ride.
I got to listen to Del La Sol for the first time, and I must say I really got a kick out of it.
We went to Big Stop for supper.
I think it might be some kind of rule, as soon as you pass into New Brunswick all friens must come from Cavendish. ALL FRIES.
We finally made it to Charlottetown by 8oclock.
At which point in time I immediately started drinking.
I hung with Jesse, Charline (Charlie) and Jenna until it was time to hit up Hunter's.
B.A was quite the treat, I'd never heard him before, but I won't be missing any of his shows from this point forward.
We rushed over to the Delta to check out the free Dog Day set.
It was quite something to see them play on such a huge set up stage, with KC on a riser for his drum kit.
I was impressed.
The Bad Motels were my favorite set of the night.
I spend the hour before them making fun of the band playing at the time.
I couldn't believe the bar cleared out before they could even play their first song.
Damn PEI kids didn't know what they were about to miss.
The Bad Motels intended staying at Cory's house too.
Matt and Marc played a game of poker with the islanders and ended up losing their money.
WAY TO SUCK MARC AND MATT, SUCK HARD.
In the morning we all headed over to Linda's for some delicious breakfast.
Gabrielle and Cory joined us a bit after we were done ordering.
Jenna came down from her parents and we proceeded to get the drink underway.
We went to Value Village hammered, and I managed to pick up a very.. Eastery coloured dress.
When we got back to Cory's they were ofcourse playing poker.
JP was totally my boy in this game, he kept almost losing all his chips and coming back.
It was a wild ride, but he didn't quite do it.
There was talk of a pissing contest, to answer the question we've all been wondering.
Do guys piss faster than girls?
Well the answer is no, and I would of proved this fact if I 100 year old rusty nail didn't go into my big toe.
What a moment of utter heart stopping panic.
Now to most people, no big deal, a rusty nail, go to the doctor, get it fixed.
I on the other hand am terrified of doctors, absolutely terrified, I haven't been since I was 7!
Drunkenly and with the aid of google we decided to pour a bottle of rubbing alcohol on my foot.
I ended up biting Charlie's hand, that shit fucking stings.
I spent the rest of the night shocked back into to sober and freaking out about my foot.
I have neeeeeeeeever seen Derrick drunk and it was awesome.
Who knew you could have a 45 minute discussion about papsmears in the middle of a crowded bar.
Although I do appreciate him looking after my health.
The show was pretty awesome.
The local bands did nothing for me but I don't think I gave them much of a chance.
Tom Fun had everybody shaking their bon-bons.
Again the bar had cleared out by 2 oclock, even before Switzer got to play their first song.
The sound man wasn't really very appreciative of their sound, genre of crazywave.
Those there who have enjoyed Switzer in the past REALLY enjoyed them this time around.
I thought the set went great despite the bitchy sound guy and the angry bar owner.
Switzer and a few of their roadies (KLC and Will) ended up crashing at Cory's as well.
After some pizza delivery and some choice satanic words from Derrick we all hit the hay.
Three girls on one twisted pull out bed just doesnt work, I ended up on a very crack-head looking couch in the kitchen.
When I woke up the next morning, my dear old big toe was purple.
This meant a lovely trip to the hospital.
But before, breakfast.
Charlie drove me to the emergency room and Kelly came along for moral support.
It really meant a lot that Derrick made the rest of his team come check on me at the hospital.
Thats the kind of good friends I want to keep around.
I think he could tell I really wasn't looking forward to this.
For a few brief moments I thought I would just die.
Which is irrational, but nothing makes sense when you're that scared.
I spent a lot of the time trying to get a hold of my mother and crying in the waiting room.
When the next tried to check my temperature, I seriously had no idea what she was doing and flipped.
Then came the time for the needle, some big breasted old lady came in.
I asked her if it was going to hurt and she said no.
WELL IT DID!
I ended up calling her a fucking liar.
I have to get through the rest of the weekend, so much more detail has gone into this than I had originally hoped for.
The all-ages show was a riot.
Oh No is my favorite song, I was sitting in a chair feeling sorry for myself but once Oh No started there was nothing I could do but get up and dance.
Laura came up with HotShotRobot, that girl is always willing to dance.
The Be Bad sat had me sweating like a monster, I can't help but want to move when they start playing.
Gilly Switz set turned into a game of leap frog/bust fest of all bust fests.
Troy and Toby had to stay in town for another night since their drive was only leaving in the morning.
I took them into town with Amy to Cory's place.
The walk to the liquor store was brutually cold but lucky for us we ran into Laura Peek who gave us a drive back.
I got drunk way faster than usual.
A/V's set was amazing, we had a little Halifax possee dance party going on, it was intense.
I'm going to surpress all of Saturday night.
It never happened as far as I'm concerned.
Although, I did hit into a poll stomping between bars, and got some mild frostbite.
PARTY.
When I woke up in the morning, I tried to find Toby for Troy but without much success.
So instead I bought us breakfast.
We don't hang out enough, it was refreshing.
Brad, that angel, came to the rescue and found Tobias for us.
When Toby got to Cory's, him and Troy invented a cockrock band called Defender.
It was amazing, I don't think that morning could of been any funnier.
Mr. Dick Clean.
Jenna and I proceeded to her parent's place so we could eat and grab a warm shower.
We headed over to Hunter's and found Chelsea, Mojo and Mike.
We all went to Cory's and cleaned his room for him.
The movie Saved is hilarious, I had little hope for something amazing during the opening credits, but I was definitely mistaken.
More drinking.
Oh PEI.
No-Cases was kind enough to donate 3 booze tickets my way.
I love them.
I humped a poll for a free CD.
I got 3 guys kicked out of the bar for being creeepy.
I passed out relatively early but tanked.
Stephen, Jenna and I had breakfast at Cora's.
Followed by a long drive in the country out to his uncle's old cottage.
I finally got those microphones for the Bad Motels too.
Eric was into for his alarm job so we got to hang out.
We went out to supper at Fromosa's, that shit is delicious.
We also jamaican hotboxed his hotel bathroom, steamy stuff.
Value Village is quite intense when stoned, but I did get all the fixing for Cory's poker present.
I bought 2 matching ashtrays and some string for the table lighters.
Eric went to sleep and dropped me and Jenna off at Cory's.
We all got tanked and watched Mall Rats.
Around 2 in the morning we headed down to the Delta.
This is about the point that my voice was bearly above a whisper.
Being at the Delta wasn't my idea of good times.
I went home and crashed out pretty early.
The drive back to Halfiax was quite nice.
I read a book and didn't have to talk much.
Big Stop burger was quite amazing this time around, although the waitress kept refering to us as 'girl'.
When I finally got home my fever was running quite high but somehow I thought going to a show at the One World would be a good idea.
I couldn't talk and I kept passing out.
When I got home I popped into Corina, Corina and doozed off.
I'll save Bearly's for another day.
